Wendell Wiebe is responsible for the overall operation of CESD Services Inc., as defined by its strategic plan, mission and vision.

Wendell has been involved in adult education for over 20 years holding a Masters of Education from the University of Manitoba. Being asked to contribute to “Adult Literacy Now”, a book published in 2000, has been a highlight of his career in education and training.  In this book, he authored a chapter on how to build the business case for establishing literacy programs in the workplace.

Prior to establishing CESD Services, Wendell was employed by Bristol Aerospace for 17 years. Starting as Manager of Staff Development, he was instrumental in creating an employee training and development system. His department was recognized several times for its innovative programs and collaborative approach in this area.  After 10 years in a training role, Wendell became Director of Human Resources at Bristol.

After a long history with the Manitoba Aerospace Human Resource Council (MAHRC), including serving as Bristol’s representative on MAHRC’s Executive Board for 17 years, and serving as Chair from 1999 to 2004, Wendell became the Executive Director and General Manager of MAHRC in 2011.  From this position, CESD Services Inc. was established.

John Kliewer is a founding member of the CESD Services team.  John provides senior leadership and human resources consulting services to organizations. He has worked with over 30 companies in the past three years alone!

In in professional practice, John has worked for over 20 years in industry and held senior HR positions in organizations ranging in size from 100 to over 1,000 employees.  He has a Bachelor Degree (Science) from the U of M; Business Administration (U of W); Human Resources Management Certificate (U of M), and has received the Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) Designation.

In addition, John has over 15 years of leadership experience in the aviation field.  In 1989, he was commissioned as an officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force Reserves. He flew more than 3,000 missions acting as a Pilot and Flight Instructor.  He was also posted to Air Command HQ in roles of Operations, and Flying Standards.  He was a designated Unit Flight Safety Officer/Accident Investigator.   He was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration (CD) Medal in November 2001.  He retired from the RCAF Reserves in 2003 at the rank of Captain.
